Shindig Saturday: HAPPY MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!

So, I'm a little bit of a nerd and I LOVE holidays. So, y'all must understand that May the Fourth is a wonderful day! AKA Star Wars Day. Any type of Holiday is the perfect day to have a shindig. You don't even have to think of a theme!  So I didn't host but, me and my roomies R and C went to  some of C's friends house to watch the first original Star Wars movie. It was marvelous as always. If you haven't seen it, you are missing out on some serious pop culture.
We made Star Wars sugar cookies from some molds C has. Always bring something if you are invited somewhere. It is only polite and it doesn't have to cost a lot of money. Bringing a bottle of wine is stereotypical but there is no need to go that far (unless it is for like a super formal dinner). Otherwise something like cookies or flowers or anything little is fine.
If you're the one entertaining for a movie night, you can go with two themes to entertain. One, Movie theatre, which includes making popcorn and having a bowl or two of skittles or M&Ms. Two, the theme of the movie. Which changes depending on the movie. Star Wars is great for star wars shaped cookies or sour straws made to look like lightsabers or you can always make a cake shaped like the deathstar (a circle cake with a circle indent cut out and some frosting in a line down the middle). Cheap and easy and fun for everyone.

May the force be with you,
xoxo,
Kels
